Lessons From the Ones Who Came Before Me

I didn’t get here alone. From day one, I was surrounded by sounds—my parents’ old records, local musicians who let me sit in on rehearsals, mentors who never held back their honesty. I’ve had the unbelievable honor of working with some of the most gifted composers in the world—people whose names carried weight long before mine was even whispered in the industry. But what I remember most isn’t the accolades—it’s the quiet moments of wisdom: the late-night studio chats, the messy middle of a half-finished demo, the stories shared between takes. They taught me that great music comes from great listening, great patience, and a relentless willingness to start over. I carry their lessons with me in every chord I write. And one day, I hope to pass them on.
